December 19th, 2002 To Whom It May Concern: Lois Pearson has asked me to write a letter of recommendation on her behalf. I do so with enthusiasm. Throughout 2001-2009 academic years, Lois has served as a massage therapist for my university swimming team here at Trinity University. During that time she successfully helped a number of athletes with the rehabilitation of injuries. Just as importantly, she did a wonderful job of listening to them and then contributing thoughts and/or observations that positively contributed to their well-being. Her ability to “listen” and then confers, I think, a unique gift. Our athletes know she cares about them as individuals. They like and trust her because of her sincerity. Apart from her skills as a massage therapist, Lois has, on two occasions, detected possible injuries that were frustrating individual athletes and staff. Her observations have proven correct and her opinions have been helpful to our teams’ sports medicine staff in the course of their work with these athletes. Lois has good “instincts” and I have appreciated her ability to get at the root of a problem (s) and then help us get results. All in all, I think Lois is pretty special. As a result of her contributions to my team’s successes. If you have any questions this recommendation, please feel welcome to call me at my office anytime. (Phone number 210-999-8373) Sincerely Yours, John Ryan Head Swimming Coach Trinity University
